Duke Regional Hospital is proud to honor the 2014 graduates of the Project SEARCH program. Graduates were recognized during a ceremony held on Tuesday, May 20 in the hospital’s auditorium. Family, friends and Duke Regional coworkers attended the event that highlighted a year of accomplishments for these seven young people.
Project SEARCH prepares students with developmental and intellectual disabilities for the workforce through on-the-job training and specialized education. At Duke Regional, students divide their time between classroom instruction and hands-on training in hospital departments.
Project SEARCH is a collaborative partnership with Alliance Behavioral Healthcare, OE Enterprises Inc., NC Vocational Rehabilitation, Durham Public Schools, Project SEARCH (National) and Duke Regional Hospital.
